toenails

Toenail fungus also known as onychomycosis ia a fairly common condition that disfigures and can destroy the nail. verify this condition with provider. The diagnosis of onychomycosis (110.1) is based on the clinical nail findings and confirmed by direct microscopy and culture.

Is the nerve compression a neuroma. What is causing the compression and what nerve is involved?

Neuroma is not confirmed. From an EMG report: there are electrodiagnostic changes today limited only to the distal peroneal motor responses in both feet....due to local degenerative changes and atrophy of the muscles in the foot from longstanding chronic compression.

thanks!
