Care plan oversight

The Medicare ÇPO codes are specifically for patients covered under Medicare HHA and Hospice, so they aren't relevant, by definition, to bill to anyone else.

There are CPT codes for this service, but I have not heard of any Medicaid programs covering them. They might--you could try.

Here are two general articles on the topic, but neither addresses Medicaid. If anyone knows of a specific state program that does/doesn't cover either set of codes, let me know and I'll add the information to these articles.

Medicaid pays for nearly nothing

but it is really up to the state what they cover. I do not think the feds tell the states what to pay. It is always a good idea to submit the charge and get denied. When they decide what to cover, if there were a lot of claims made, they may add that charge to the covered list. And I am sure they will not announce that they are now paying for it so keep billing.
