Care Plan Oversight
Can you bill a CPO when only Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy was provided? It was explained to me along time ago that you can only bill for a CPO when nursing services are provided. I have read the articles on CPO and it does not specify.
I would say...
if provided in the home under the guidance of a home health provider, then yes. If you are talking about signing those "continue PT for x visits" from outpatient PT places, then no.
Cpo
Is for the care of a complex patient, requiring multi-disciplinary care. If PT/OT is one of those, fine, the work can be included. But, not just to sign the form.
